Twins, Connor and Grace, never dreamed that there was any truth to the Vampirate shanty their father sang to them before he died, but that was before the two were shipwrecked and separated from each other. For Connor, who is taken aboard a pirate ship, there’s the chance to learn to swordfight, but for Grace, aboard a mysterious ship of vampire pirates, the danger is great. What will it take for them to find each other?

GBC Review by Sofia S.

The past month, I was digging around my house for a good book. I read Vampirates about two years ago, and it still hasn’t lost its charm! Vampirates is a story about Connor and Grace, twins, who have been swept into the arms of a pirate ship and a vampire ship when they get shipwrecked. The plot is kind of freaky, but in the way of ” Oh my! What just happened! ” rather than actually scary. Because of some of the freakier moments of the book, I would only recommend Vampirates to people nine years old and up. I was entranced by the story when I was 10, and I have never read anything like it!
Happy Reading!
