Strawberry Mango Salsa

strawberrymangosalsa0Summer strawberries are yummy. Strawberries and mango together is delicious. This no-need-to-turn-on-the-stove-cause-its-hot-enough recipe comes from my sister, Kim, who adapted it from’s recipe. She left out the spicy stuff and the added sugar to keep it light and naturally sweet for summer. This refreshing salsa will be a sure hit with your friends and family and also makes for a great burger or chicken burger topping.

  • 1 pint strawberries
  • 1 large mango
  • ¾ cup chopped fresh cilantro or mint (one small bunch)
  • ¼ red onion, minced (optional)
  • juice of 2 limes
  1. Wash and chop strawberries into small pieces.
  2. Wash and dice mango (see video below for instructions on how to dice a mango)
  3. Dice red onion into small pieces
  4. Chop cilantro
  5. Add strawberries, mango, cilantro and onion in a bowl and add lime juice.
  6. Mix well.
  7. Serve with Cinnamon Pita chips. Plain pita or corn chips work well too.

Use on the day its made, salsa does not keep well.
