Average GBC reader rating

Mythological monsters and the gods of Mount Olympus seem to be walking out of the pages of twelve-year-old Percy Jackson’s textbooks and into his life. And worse, he’s angered a few of them. Zeus’s master lightning bolt has been stolen, and Percy is the prime suspect. Now, he and his friends have just ten days to find and return Zeus’s stolen property and bring peace to a warring Mount Olympus.

GBC Review by Sofia S.

This book is full of Greek mythology but it is as exciting as anything you have ever read. Percy is a 12 year old boy with a list of problems from dyslexia to having the meanest stepfather in the world! I love this book (and the series it is part of) so much that my books look like they are 20 years old judging by how many times they’ve been read and how worn out they are. I think these books are for anybody under 16 as Rick Riordan has an awesome writing style. The book has so much action in it and so many funny parts that it is an “I can’t put this book down” kind of book! I really hope you like this book as much as I do so get reading!
