Something I am proud of: I’m proud of making it to the Ontario championships for cross country the last two years, breaking two records in the 400m this year and making it to the Ontario championships for track and field, keeping my grades between 95-100% and being awarded overall highest grade point average in grade 9 last year and hoping to repeat for grade 10.
Who I look up to: Dedicated, hard working women in sports like Kaitlyn Lawes, Professional Curler and 2014 Winter Olympics gold medalist on team Jones from Manitoba and Jackie Jarrell a local athlete and teacher at my high school who has represented Team Canada multiple times for in line hockey.
Hobbies: Curling, running, working on my family’s farm
My pet peeve: Touching wood with bare hands
What makes me a Genuinely Unique Girl: I think what makes me unique is how I am not afraid to do things differently than other people. I am open about my love for farming and curling even if people in my school think that is weird. I am proud of my talents and I love to share them with everyone. I would rather be in jeans and rubber boots outside on a Friday night rather than out with friends. That is what makes me who I am!
