Keeper Of The Lost Cities by Shannon Messenger

About the Book

Twelve-year-old Sophie has never quite fit into her life. She’s skipped multiple grades and can’t really connect with the older kids at school, but she’s not comfortable with her family, either. The reason? Sophie’s a Telepath, someone who can read minds. No one knows her secret—at least, that’s what she thinks…

But the day Sophie meets Fitz, a mysterious (and adorable) boy, she learns she’s not alone. He’s a Telepath too, and it turns out the reason she has never felt at home is that, well…she isn’t. Fitz opens Sophie’s eyes to a shocking truth, and she is forced to leave behind her family for a new life in a place that is vastly different from what she has ever known.

But Sophie still has secrets, and they’re buried deep in her memory for good reason: The answers are dangerous and in high-demand. What is her true identity, and why was she hidden among humans? The truth could mean life or death—and time is running out.

GBC Review by Hailey W.

Hey GBC. Sorry that there hasn’t been a book review for a while but I promise this book will have been worth the wait! The book for November is Keeper of the Lost Cities by Shannon Messenger. It is about a 12 year old girl named Sophie that can read peoples minds but she can’t figure out why. She then finds out that she is actually and elf and is taken to the elven world to learn how to use her powers properly. This book is the first in one of my favourite book series of all time because there is always a mystery even to the last book. There are 7 books out right now and I am anxiously awaiting the next one. I would recommend this book to any girls ages 12-15 as I started this series when I was about 12 and loved it.

Hope you enjoy this book!
