GBC Review by Sofia S.
Hey GBC! If you look back a few months, you’ll see that in March I reviewed City of Bones by Cassandra Claire. This month, I’ve taken a look at her prequel series, The Infernal Devices. The series begins with the Clockwork Angel. Now, by all means, this is a great book. The story is great, the characters are well written but I feel like there is something missing. Compared to The Mortal Instruments, I found it too similar, and not good enough. I would generally only recommend this book to a City of Bones fan who is dedicated enough to read the whole series because the plot moves sort of slowly. Tessa, the main character runs into dead end after dead end in search of the villain, called the Magister, which gets tiring. However, though it may not have been my favourite book ever, Clockwork Angel is a good read.
