Celtic Cross Low Pony

The criss crossing of this pony tail adds sophistication and polish to a normally boring low pony. It also serves to hide the elastic and add some interest. Its easy to do if you have a “topsy tail” and I found it easy enough to do to myself. Unfortunately for me, it wasn’t so easy to take pictures of the back of my own head, therefore I needed the help of my hair model. This style was also easy to do on my mid length hair cutie. If your hair is long enough to put into a low pony, this style should work for you.

Here is what you’ll need:

  • 1 elastic
  • Brush or Comb
  • Topsy Tail

Directions:

  1. Loosely curl hair below the ears. (Optional)
  2. Separate a section of hair from the top of the ears down and then pull the rest of your hair back into a low pony.
  3. Divide the section under the pony into two.

  4. Place the topsy tail in the hair to the right side above the elastic on an angle down through the elastic.
  5. Take the left section from under the pony, cross it overtop of the ponytail and pull it down through the topsy tail.
  6. Place the topsy tail in the hair to the left side above the elastic on an angle down through the elastic at the back.
  7. Take the right section from under the pony, cross it overtop of the ponytail and pull it down through the topsy tail.
